The heat will help your muscles to loosen up and relax a little bit. For sinus headaches it will help open up your sinuses, and you shoulder blow your nose thoroughly while in the shower.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ice pack:<\/strong> Many times using an ice pack (bag of frozen peas works great) for 5 \u2013 10 minutes either over the forehead or in back of the head and neck also takes some of the pain away.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<strong>Massage<\/strong>: You can give yourself a head and\/or neck massage. Use your fingertips to give yourself a \u201cdry shampoo\u201d all throughout your skull. If you find some tender spots, you can use a little ice pack on them, or take a hot shower and follow it up with some ice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Ranges of motion<\/strong> \u2013 always do pure movements in the neck and back. Also do not whip your head in doing these. Never go past a point of pain.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Neck <\/strong>\u2013 look up, then down; look to the right, then left; bend your right ear to your right shoulder, then your left ear to your left shoulder. Great exercise to do in the shower.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0A <strong>brisk walk<\/strong> outside for 5 \u2013 10 minutes may also help you work some muscles, and get the blood moving throughout your body. The fresh air also helps re-energize your body.
